Lawrence Parks and Recreation is hosting a beginning yoga class, which is designed to reduce stress, increase well-being and provide the ability to focus.
Beginner Yoga invites participants 16 years-old and older to take part in developing a foundation in the yoga practice. The class is designed as an introduction to teach the proper alignments and poses of yoga. Class is slow-paced, helping to develop focus and breathing techniques. Participants should bring a blanket or exercise mat. The class is held 3-4 p.m. Sundays, Sept. 13-Nov. 1, at the Community Building 115 W 11th St.
Cost is $34 per participant for enrollments through Sunday, Aug. 30, and $44 Monday Aug. 31, through the start of the class.
