Prairie Park Nature Center is hosting field trips for home schooled students to engage with nature.

Since the start of COVID-19 lockdown, many young students are finding themselves spending majority of their time inside. Exploring Nature for Home Schooled Students gives home-schooled students, ages five years-old to 13 years-old the opportunity to get outside, explore and learn about nature. The field trip program is two hours long and each program will cover a different topic.

It is being offered 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Sept. 23, at Prairie Park Nature Center, 2730 Harper St. Cost is $10 per child. Additional programs are planned for Oct. 7, Oct. 21 and Nov. 4 with different topics. Please call for topic schedule.

Registration can be done online at: http://lprd.org/activity?n=423321 or in person at the Parks and Recreation Administrative Offices, 1141 Massachusetts St. or the Lawrence Indoor Aquatic Center, 4706 Overland Drive.
