Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department is currently accepting registration for fall Tae Kwon Do program.
Tae Kwon Do will help participants eight years-old and older develop control, balance and power through the practice of Tae Kwon Do form and one-step sparring. As participants mature in the art, they gain more than the ability to kick and punch. With improved coordination and reflexes, increased self-confidence, self-discipline and physical conditioning, students gain a greater respect for themselves, fellow students and people in society as a whole.
The class is offered 6:45-7:45 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, Nov. 10-Dec. 17, at East Lawrence Recreation Center, 1245 E 15th St. Cost of the class is $34 through Tuesday, Oct. 27, and $44, beginning Wednesday, Oct. 28, through the start of the class.
