The City continues to work closely with Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health. The City immediately notifies City employees who have been in direct contact with another employee who either tested positive for COVID-19 or who is being quarantined due to experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. Anytime a City employee is potentially exposed to COVID-19, they are placed in a precautionary quarantine until their test results come back. LDC Public Health continues to handle contact tracing for the general public. If there is ever a concern of an outbreak of COVID-19 tied to a City facility or employees, we will work with LDC Public Health to announce the case at that time.
The City is sharing the latest coronavirus information on our website.
