Improve your health with LPRD’s Body Sculpt fitness class

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department is offering a fitness class to provide a workout using a combination of exercises and equipment.

For participants 15 years-old and older, Body Sculpt combines yoga, Pilates and total body resistance training to help participants receive a great workout. In this class, participants will experience a sense of well-being while improving their balance, strength and flexibility. A variety of equipment will be used for this class including, kettlebells, free weights, TRX suspension trainers and more. This class request that participants bring a mat for floor work.

Body Sculpt is being held 7:10-8 p.m. Mondays, Feb. 1-March 1, at Sports Pavilion Lawrence, 100 Rock Chalk Lane. Cost is $21 per person.

This class requires face coverings being worn at all times and are following COVID-19 safety guidelines, which can be found at https://assets.lawrenceks.org/lprd/covid/fitnessmartialarts.pdf.

Conditions will be continuously be monitored and reviewed in consultation with public health professionals. Status updates will continue to be updated every Thursday to indicate the current risk level using green, yellow, orange or red based on the number of new cases, trends and percentage of positive COVID-19 test to mirror Lawrence-Douglas County Health’s recommendations being used for the Smart and Safe School Reopening Guidelines and Status for county schools.
