Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Prairie Park Nature Center is offering Knitting Basics as part of series called The Early Craft.
Participants in this class will learn how to cast on, adjust tension and pick up dropped stitches. Basic knit and purl stitches will be demonstrated and students will learn the terminology needed to be able to start their own projects in the future. All materials will be provided.
Knitting Basics will take place 1:30–3:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, at Prairie Park Nature Center. Cost is $25 per person.
