Roll into the New Year with LPRD’s Tumbling gymnastics class

Lawrence Parks and Recreation is offering gymnastics class to help children develop their basic gymnastic skills.

For children six years-old to 14 years-old, Tumbling is a class for athletes interested in learning the basics of gymnastics. Participants will learn the foundation of body awareness and muscle control to progress through proper tumbling technique. Participants will also be able to develop strength, flexibility and body control that will allow each participant to progress quickly and safely through the class.

This class is being held 6:45 p.m.-7:35 p.m. Mondays, Feb. 1, 2021-Jan. 31, 2022, at Sports Pavilion Lawrence, 100 Rock Chalk Lane. Monthly tuition is $40 per person.

Tumbling requires face coverings being worn at all times and are following COVID-19 safety guidelines, which can be found at https://assets.lawrenceks.org/lprd/covid/gymnastics.pdf.

Conditions will be continuously monitored and reviewed in consultation with public health professionals. Status updates will continue to be updated every Thursday to indicate the current risk level using green, yellow, orange or red based on the number of new cases, trends and percentage of positive COVID-19 test to mirror Lawrence-Douglas County Health’s recommendations being used for the Smart and Safe School Reopening Guidelines and Status for county schools.
