Effective Tuesday, April 20, the City of Lawrence has lifted the stream advisory for Naismith Creek from the storm channel at 20th Street & Naismith Drive to 31st Street & Lousiana Street.
The stream advisory was issued on April 16 after a sanitary sewer overflow was discovered.
City staff monitored the water quality downstream of the overflow consistent with KDHE protocol and have determined the advisory can be lifted.
