The Lawrence Kansas Police Department is identifying the victim in Friday night’s fatality accident as 60-year-old Lawrence resident Emily Lepley.
Around 8:40 p.m. Friday, officers from the Lawrence Kansas Police Department responded to the 1400 block of W. 19th St. in response to reports that a pedestrian had been struck while crossing the street.
Despite life saving measures by police, Lepley was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
