Little Kickers, Junior Kickers provide space for soccer fun

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department is offering a pair of classes to introduce youth to the sport of soccer.

Little Kickers and Junior Kickers are interactive programs designed to start developing an understanding of the game of soccer for children. Parents are welcome to watch or join in with the class.

Little Kickers is open to those two years-old to four years-old and will be offered 9-9:50 a.m. Saturdays, June 5-26 at Sports Pavilion Lawrence®, 100 Rock Chalk Lane. Junior Kickers is open to children ages four years-old to five years-old and will be offered 10-10:50 a.m. Saturdays, June 5-26 at Sports Pavilion Lawrence®, 100 Rock Chalk Lane. This class requires face coverings being worn at all times and are following COVID-19 safety guidelines, which can be found at https://lawks.us/3xVeXbT.

Conditions will be continuously be monitored and reviewed in consultation with public health professionals. Status updates will continue to be updated every Thursday to indicate the current risk level using green, yellow, orange or red based on the number of new cases, trends and percentage of positive COVID-19 test to mirror Lawrence-Douglas County Health’s recommendations being used for the Smart and Safe School Reopening Guidelines and Status for county schools.
