Learn the fundamentals of tennis with a beginner adult program

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department has partnered with Jayhawk Tennis to offer skill-development programs for prospective players.

Adult Beginner-Intermediate Tennis is offered for complete beginners, as well as players who want to develop consistency and correct their technique. Strategies for singles and doubles, the most common types of matches, will be introduced.

The program will be held 6-7 p.m. Tuesdays, July 6-20, at the tennis courts at Rock Chalk Park in front of Sports Pavilion Lawrence®, 100 Rock Chalk Lane. Participants must be 16 years-old or older. Cost is $45 per person.

This program recommends face coverings to be worn at all times and follows COVID-19 safety guidelines.
