Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Prairie Park Nature Center is offering an opportunity to watch the Perseid meteor shower at its peak this August.
Watching the Perseid Meteors invites participants 7 years-old and older to witness one of the most prolific meteor showers to grace the sky. The annual Perseid meteor shower is active from July 14 through Aug. 24 and peaks in mid-August.
Watching the Perseid Meteors will be held 8:30-10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13, at Prairie Park Nature Center, 2730 Harper St. Cost is $10 per person.
