Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Indoor Aquatic Center reopens with fall hours after being closed for its annual maintenance and cleaning shutdown.
The Indoor Aquatic Center, located at 4706 Overland Drive, will begin fall hours this coming Monday, Aug. 16. The hours are as follows:
Lap Pool
Monday–Friday: 6:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 4 – 7:30 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Sunday: 1-6 p.m. (Through Sept. 5)
Modifications to the schedule, especially Sundays, may be made throughout the fall as COVID-19 case numbers and staffing needs change.
Leisure Pool
Monday–Friday: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Warm Water Workouts)
Saturday: CLOSED
Sunday: CLOSED
With the rise of COVID-19 cases, recreational swimming has been suspended. Evaluation will be ongoing and modified as conditions change.
The Outdoor Aquatic Center, located at 727 Kentucky St., will close for the season after business hours conclude on Sunday, Aug. 15.
