Lawrence Transit will be holding an open house tonight at the Lawrence Public Library Auditorium from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. During the open house, the public will be able to view the route changes proposed for August 2022, view the two different proposed scenarios, and have an opportunity to provide comments and take the route redesign survey.
Lawrence Transit would like to hear from the public on the proposed changes since most bus routes will change with the new route redesign.
KU and City of Lawrence Transit staff will be able to answer questions, do route planning and show the public the printed and interactive route maps. They will also get a chance to learn about “microtransit” which is an affordable ride-sharing service using transit vehicles.
One additional open house will be held on November 11. There will also be virtual public meetings and in-person information events held at various locations in Lawrence in the next couple of weeks. The times, dates and locations are as follows:
