Get fit in the New Year with Zumba

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department offers Zumba classes this winter.

Zumba is a Latin-inspired, dance-fitness class incorporating Latin and international music and dance movements, creating a dynamic, exciting and effective fitness program. Zumba combines fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body using an aerobic/fitness approach to achieve a unique blended balance of cardio and muscle-toning benefits.

Zumba sessions are offered:

  • 12:10-12:50 p.m., Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, Jan. 10-March 11, at the Holcom Recreation Center, 2700 W. 27th St.. Cost is $75
  • 5:30-6:25 p.m., Mondays, Jan. 10-March 7, at Sports Pavilion Lawrence®, 100 Rock Chalk Lane. Cost is $36.
  • 7-7:55 p.m., Tuesdays, Jan. 11-March 8, at Sports Pavilion Lawrence®. Cost is $36.
  • 5:30 p.m.- 6:25 p.m. Wednesdays, Jan. 12-March 9, at Sports Pavilion Lawrence®.
  • 8:30-9:20 a.m. Saturdays, Jan 15-March 12, at the sports pavilion. Cost is $36.

Face coverings are encouraged and appreciated for visitors to City facilities. Masks must be worn at all times while visiting Holcom Park Recreation Center and other LPRD facilities unless actively participating in a class, during which participants 11 years-old and older may remove their face coverings.
