Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Prairie Park Nature Center is offering a series of fieldtrip programs for homeschooled students to engage with nature.
Homeschool Science Fieldtrips is open to children ages six years-old to 13 years-old and allows participants to join Prairie Park Nature Center for unique field trips. The trips combine live animal programs with outdoor field investigations. A different topic will be presented each class.
The first program will be held 10 a.m.–12 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, at Prairie Park Nature Center, 2730 Harper St. Additional fieldtrips will be held April 13, April 25 and May 9.
