Start your journey to relaxation with LPRD’s Beginner Yoga

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a yoga program for beginners designed to reduce stress, increase overall well-being and provide the ability to focus.

Beginner Yoga is perfect for individuals 15 years-old and older who are just getting started in yoga. Class is slow-paced and places focus on developing clear and safe alignment in foundational poses. Students are introduced to yoga postures through step-by-step verbal descriptions and demonstrations. Emphasis is placed on student understanding, safety and stability with each pose.

The class is held 3-4 p.m. Sundays, June 5 – Aug. 21 at Holcom Park Recreation Center, 2700 W. 27th St. Cost is $44 per person.
