Registration for Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Youth Indoor Soccer is ongoing, with a deadline of Thursday, Jan. 5 to enroll.
Youth Indoor Soccer is designed to provide an opportunity for children to play indoor soccer in an organized, competitive yet recreational setting during the school year. Leagues are available for boys and girls, first grade through sixth grade, as well as a coed league for kindergarteners. Teams are formed based on current grade level and the school each child attends; however, teams may not be made up of children exclusively from the same school.
One 50-minute practice time per week will be determined by the coach, with practices beginning the week of Monday, Jan. 23. Games will be played on Saturdays, Feb. 4-March 11, at Sports Pavilion Lawrence®, 100 Rock Chalk Lane. Cost is $50 per child for kindergarten through fourth grade, and $60 per child for fifth grade and sixth grade. Game shirts are included in the fee.
