Build a healthier body with LPRD’s returning H.I.I.T. class

January 6, 2023

Lawrence Parks and Recreation is hosting a class designed to help participants lose weight and strengthen muscles efficiently.

H.I.I.T: High Intensity Interval Training invites those 15 years-old and older to take part in this fat-blasting workout. Participants will experience an intense cardiovascular exercise that alternates with less intense recovery periods using Tabata formats. With this class, participants lose fat, not muscle, and build a healthier heart while increasing metabolism. Participants should bring a fitness mat to class.

H.I.I.T. is held 5:45-6:40 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, Jan. 9-March 8, at Holcom Park Recreation Center, 2700 West 27th St. Cost is $68 per person.
