The City of Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Prairie Park Nature Center is hosting a weekend program on nature painting.
Easy Nature Acrylic Painting provides participants with a space to create their own nature painting in just a few easy steps. Participants will use acrylic paints as a medium and the PPNC animal residents as models. The class will be open studio with staff on hand to provide instruction on painting techniques, brushwork, color blending and more. Paints, brushes and acrylic boards will be supplied.
It is open to those 13 years-old and older and will be held 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at Prairie Park Nature Center, 2730 Harper St. Cost is $25 per participant.
