The City of Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Prairie Park Nature Center is hosting a program focusing on cooking using a campfire and a Dutch oven.
Outdoor Dutch Oven Cooking invites participants 16 years-old and older to prepare meals the old-fashioned way: with a Dutch oven and a fire pit. Various camping recipes such as biscuits, bread and stews will be explored and demonstrated.
The program is held 2-5 p.m. Sunday, March 19, at Prairie Park Nature Center, 2730 Harper St. Cost is $15 per person.
