The City of Lawrence has postponed all scheduled Parks and Recreation outdoor activities and programs through Thursday, Aug. 24, except for rescheduled adult sand volleyball leagues, which have been moved to indoor recreation centers. Sand volleyball league for Thursday night has been postponed and will be rescheduled along with all adult softball, Ultimate Frisbee and youth baseball games scheduled for tonight through Thursday evening.
All rentals and field reservations for baseball, softball, soccer, football and outdoor pickleball at the courts in Lyons Park, 700 N. Lyon St., and the courts outside Sports Pavilion Lawrence, 100 Rock Chalk Lane, have also been canceled. Refunds will be issued for those affected.
