Budget Engagement

As part of our commitment to Community Engagement and Sound Fiscal Stewardship, the City of Lawrence invites and encourages community members to provide feedback on the 2024 budget via A Balancing Act, an online budget simulation tool!

The simulation is live from May 1-31, 2024. You can access it here: https://lawrenceks.abalancingact.com/2025-budget

The budget simulation is a way for you to learn more about the City’s priorities for spending and revenues. Your input will be provided to City leadership and, where feasible, considered as we create the 2025 budget. Please note that the simulation utilizes data from the 2024 budget and does not include 2025 data as that budget is currently under consideration.

In addition to A Balancing Act, we’ll have two in-person engagement sessions for community members to walk through the budget simulation with our team in June once we have results from this year’s tool. More information on those sessions will be provided later in May.
