The Lawrence Police Department provides detailed crime reporting information for the public through Community Crime Map. Community Crime Map is an interactive public crime mapping system that allows us to share crime information with the community while helping to reduce crime, improve public safety and enhance neighborhood-police partnerships.
Users can map and analyze crime data as well as sign up for daily, weekly or monthly alerts about crimes reported within a certain distance of an address. Once a criminal report is completed by the officer and submitted, it will then be uploaded to the program and be searchable by date and time. Community Crime Map is not intended to be a live call monitoring program and reports should reasonably be expected to be available in the system within 3-5 business days of the event.
