Projects

  • Biosolids Program: The Waste Water Treatment Plant provides biosolids free of charge to area farmers and landowners. This provides free fertilizer and reduces waste going to landfills.
  • EcoFlow Program: The City’s EcoFlow Program helps prevent stormwater from entering the waste water system. The program fixes stormwater leaks on both public and private property. Check out the City’s video for more information.
  • Water Conservation: The City of Lawrence recently participated in the Mayors’ Challenge for Water Conservation. The challenge is a friendly competition between cities across the US to see who can be the most “water-wise.”
