The City of Lawrence is excited to announce our Independence Day event, Summerfest 2024!
This unmistakable and exciting, FREE event is coming back to the Douglas County Fairgrounds on Wednesday, July 3rd, and will feature the following:
- Food Trucks (food sales begin at 4:00 p.m.)
- Live music from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Crafts Festival in Building 21 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- A DRONE SHOW in the evening (around 9:45 p.m.)

- 3:00 p.m. Crafts Festival begins in Building 21
- 4:00 p.m. Food Trucks begin sales
- 4:00 p.m. Free State Brewery beer sales begin
- 4:00 p.m. City Play Corps begins kid’s activities area
- 4:00 p.m. live music begins
- 4:00 p.m. Community Music on Mainstage
- 5:00 p.m. Music on Mainstage
- 6:00 p.m. Music on Mainstage
- 7:00 p.m. Music on Mainstage
- 8:20 p.m. Music on Mainstage
- 9:45 p.m. Drone Show viewing at the “Derby Arena” inside the Fairgrounds
