The Operations Division is made up of three shifts managed by a Battalion Chief or Division Chief of Operations, who is responsible for the emergency and administrative activities of all members assigned to his/her shift. Operations members consist of 5 Captains, 7 Lieutenants, and 27 firefighters and are assigned to one of three shifts (X, Y, or Z) working a rotating 24-hour schedule.
The Operations Division operates out of six stations, five within the City of Lawrence and one in Baldwin City. The Division provides:

- Technical Rescue Teams
- Confined Space
- Mass Causality
- Rope Rescue
- Public Education
- Structural Collapse
- Water / Ice Rescue
